Diagnosing Endometriosis With the Prick of a Finger
Our mission at EndoLoop is to create a world where women's health and fertility conditions are no longer disregarded by the public or medical practitioners, but taken seriously by our society. With our save, non-invasive, affordable, and accessible diagnostic method for endometriosis, we hope to help make this vision a reality.
What is endometriosis?

Endometriosis happens when the endometrium, the tissue that usually lines the inside of a woman’s uterus, grows outside it and attach to other parts of your body. This tissue acts like regular uterine tissue does during your period: It will break apart and bleed at the end of the cycle. But this blood has nowhere to go. Surrounding areas may become inflamed or swollen, potentially resulting in scar tissue and lesions.

Today, diagnosing endometriosis is quite difficult, with the gold standard for diagnosis involving an invasive and expensive operation known as a laparoscopy.
How EndoLoop Works
THE SCIENCE
EndoLoop provides an effortless diagnosis method for endometriosis.

1) Fingerprick
Any doctor, pharmacist, nurse, or trained individual at a point of care can easily obtain a small blood sample via a blood prick using a lancet device.

2) Microfluidics
This blood sample is then placed on EndoLoop's microfluidic paper-based analytical device, which determines the concentrations of endometriosis-associated microRNAs in the blood.

3) AI Diagnosis:
From a photo of the microfluidic device, our AI-powered app will determine whether or not you have endometriosis!
